How stock works

Steps

1. 1Receive goods via Catalog › Stock booking: find the product, enter the quantity and purchase price, and click Book stock.
2. 2Every booking becomes a stock lot with its own purchase price. Sales use the oldest lot first (FIFO).
3. 3A sale at the till lowers stock when the receipt is completed. A webshop order lowers stock when it is paid online.
4. 4Stock lots shows what is left per lot. Stock movements shows every change.
5. 5Stock valuation shows what your stock is worth, based on the real purchase prices.
6. 6More than one warehouse? Move stock with Transfers › New transfer.

Good to know

• Changing the default cost price of a product does not change the price of lots you already booked.
• Whether you can sell below zero is set per product (Allow negative stock).
